Hello. Thanks for dropping by. I'm David Windle.

Amongst other things, I work as a teacher in South London. Spudboy and Chip is my first children's book for readers aged 6 - 11.

It's a comical, superhero adventure which follows the fortunes of young Colin Sludge - or Spudboy as he becomes after he accidentally merges with a potato - and his sidekick Chip. The story is about bravery, change and the strength of friendship and family in the face of adversity.

If you like comic books or superhero stories then this book is for you (or your child!). It's perfectly pitched for an 8/9 year old reader, but has also been enjoyed by those younger and older.

If you'd like to read more of my work, and especially if you work in a primary school, you might like to visit my poetry site www.primarypoems.com. This website has lots of poems on it for use in the classroom.

You may have noticed that, in another life, I wrote another totally different book! The Influence Workout is a communication skills book for business professionals (and other humans).
