A short list of David's clients and presenters includes Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Young Audiences, Midori and Friends, UNESCO, Chamber Music America, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Americas Society, the Juilliard School, the Eastman School of Music, the Manhattan School of Music, the Tanglewood Music Festival, the League of American Orchestras, and the 92nd Street Y. As an author, David serves as lead writer and editor of The Eclectic Violist column for The Journal of the American Viola Society, and he has published articles in American String Teacher, Journal of the Violin Society of America, Chamber Music, Strings, and The Teaching Artist Journal. When he is not performing or writing, he enjoys hiking, biking, mountain climbing, poetry, book arts, and photography. David received his D.M.A in viola performance from the Juilliard School where he served as a Morse Fellow and Teaching Assistant to legendary violist and pedagogue Karen Tuttle.
