David is founder and CEO of McCombie Group, an M&A advisory firm that helps mid-market owners sell their life’s work at the best possible price and terms. He has personally negotiated billions in deals and has been recognized for setting record valuations. Unique among advisors, he has also successfully led various private equity investments himself.

An ongoing contributor to Forbes, he frequently shares his insights regarding deal-making. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves as Chair of its Investment Banking network. Prior to founding McCombie Group, he worked at McKinsey & Company and Citigroup Global Banking.

David graduated from Harvard Law School where he focused on M&A and negotiation, and also completed extensive finance coursework at Harvard Business School. His thesis, “Hispanic Private Equity – A Cultural Approach to Achieving Superior Investment Returns” was published in the Harvard Latino Law Review. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Miami.

A naturally curious person, David finds joy in reading across topics and learning something from everyone he meets. He also loves boating on Biscayne Bay with his wife and two daughters.
