David Norris is a seasoned internet leader, having worked in online operational, product, marketing and strategy roles since the turn of the century. This has been mainly in travel and hospitality, including four stints as Chief Operating Officer, three of which were scaling fast-growth venture capital-backed startups. He was later a VC investor at Forward Partners, incubating idea-stage startups, but now focuses on strategy and marketing in his role as Chief Growth Officer at Holiday Extras. David is also Non-Executive Director at The Sports Trust and mentors startup founders. In his spare time, David enjoys travelling and being in the great outdoors. He’s keen on sports beginning with S, being a keen skier, skateboarder and sailor. He’s in awe of adventurers and sporting heroes such as Amy Johnson, Ranulph Fiennes, Ernest Shackleton, Sky Brown and Ellen MacArthur, with their determination to take on adventure, challenge or adversity. He finds inspiration for new ideas by meeting new people and reading - he’ll always have a book on the go and an idea brewing. He lives with his family in Deal, Kent.
