David Leiter has been a private investor in stocks and multi-family real estate for the past 30 years. He is the founder of The Ultimate Investor, which publishes content on being a great investor, focusing primarily on the principles and strategies of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger and how average investors can use them to succeed. David worked on Wall Street at Credit Suisse First Boston (1996-2000) and Schonfeld Securities (2000-2003). In 2020, he sold his NYC property management firm to the largest privately held property management company in the USA and semi-retired. In 2022, after many years of witnessing wild investment promotions and now seeing friends lose money in crypto schemes, real estate syndications, meme stocks, and startups, he wrote an essay entitled “The 20 Rules to Know to Stop Making Dumb Investments” and sent it out to a network of friends and acquaintances. The response was overwhelming and inspired David to do more to help others understand sound, wealth-building investing. He caught Tony Robbins' attention and was invited to speak at Tony's premier investing event, Platinum Finance, in Feb 2023. At that event, David shared the stage with Ray Dalio, Jeffrey Gundlach, Jamie Dimon, and Paul Tudor Jones, among others. David continues to speak at all Tony Robbins Wealth Mastery events and hosts his own events and online courses on valuing businesses, stocks, and real estate, and on using market fluctuations and psychology to your advantage rather than being fearful of them.
