David had a keen interest in writing from a young age and this continued for most of his life. As with most writers the 'lightbulb' moment came quite unexpectedly. It wasn't until taking on the challenge of NaNoWriMo in November 2014 that David's first book, Ghost Track: Melissa, was born David had this to say about the experience: "I had a major project on the go before NaNoWriMo and it wasn't Ghost Track! My first major push at writing a book was a project title 'Crimson Rising' and I thought, at that time, I was doing well with it, although I struggled to find time to get the words on the page! (A familiar struggle wth most writers I think!) It wasn't until I considered NaNoWriMo that another idea of mine seemed like the way to go. I wanted to try and succeed at NaNoWriMo with a fresh, raw, untouched idea. That idea was Ghost Track: Melissa. I will be eternally thankful for making the decision to attempt that competition as it showed me just how disorganised and disjointed my writing approach really was. It taught me to be considerably more organised and structured and was a massive learning curve. I would recommend it to any budding novelists! Ghost Track: Melissa was published on 4th August 2015 with at least two more books planned in the series. Crimson Rising is still very much alive as a project and I aim to release it at some point in 2016." David is currently working on the next book in the Ghost Track series 'Judas Kiss' alongside a number of screenplays. David's preferred writing genres are thrillers and action adventure stories. David lists amongst his current favourite authors as Karin Slaughter, Lee Child and Ian Fleming.
