A Nebula Award finalist, Dave is the author of novels, short fiction, comic book scripts, and screenplays. His writing spans several sub-genres of science fiction and fantasy including sword-and-sorcery, hard sf, contemporary fantasy, superhero, martial arts, and horror. His books include The War of the Dragons trilogy, X-Men: Law of the Jungle, Piper in the Night, and the collections Raiding the Hoard of Enchantment, Futures Near and Far, and Swords, Magic, and Heart. Over a hundred stories have appeared in magazines such as Asimov’s SF, Realms of Fantasy, and F&SF, and anthologies such as Full Spectrum 4, Peter S. Beagle’s Immortal Unicorn, Return to Avalon, In the Field of Fire, and over a dozen installments of the Sword & Sorceress series.
