Practicing leadership is something I love to do . . . getting others to commit fully and willingly to the work at hand. That is the essence and context of leadership. Writing about leadership is simply my way to share what I have learned. Unfortunately, reading about leadership does make someone a leader. Read to get some ideas and thoughts on what works, but you must DO something with what you read. I believe that the choice to lead, which is very difficult because true leadership is very hard work and quite counter-cultural, is not often made. That is why the world sees so little leadership today. My writing is aimed getting people to DO and MULTIPLY leadership! I am also convinced that what most business executives DO at work is justified only by institutionalized thoughts about business. Those business executives who are Christ-followers and who function within these institutionalized thoughts do great damage to those exploring the Christian faith, because the difference in what the Bible teaches and how they behave is vast and near impossible to justify and explain. True leadership is fully aligned with the Christian faith, so there is a responsibility to lead at work in a way that both fuels enterprise success and evidences our faith. Did I say counter-cultural? The truth is important and I do my best to represent it in my writings. I hope you enjoy the books!
