Darren Braithwaite was born in Kingston Jamaica in 1982. He is a graduate of the Wolmers Boys School and the University of the West Indies. He loves science fiction especially the works of Clifford D Simak and Isacc Asimov. At age 17 he moved to the United States for a year and returned to Jamaica at age 18. He is an advocate for the legalization of marijuana and a strong supporter of the medical marijuana industry especially as it relates to the curing of cancer. Darren has lost several family members to cancer and so his first book "The Super Jamaicans" was dedicated to his friends and family that have died from cancer and those still fighting cancer. Darren is married and has one child
