Daria was born in a remote town in Poland, where cold weather abounds and vowels are scarce. As a child, she traded the white of those endless winters and the gray of her hometown for the greens and ochres of the Madrid mountains and their long sunny days, to which she is beginning to get used to. She studied photography with the intention of pursuing a career in film, although her dream never came to fruition. Years later, she found another way to tell her stories and since then has strived to bring the monsters that inhabit her mind to life with words. She is a lover of horror, to which she devotes most of her stories, her novels, and her free time. She enjoys wandering through fantasy worlds and is an enthusiastic role-playing gamer. She loves to immerse herself in the pages of a book and explore the darkest corners of the human mind, where nightmares are born. She loves solitude and heavy metal and lives surrounded by books and cat hair. She still hopes to live in a comfortable hobbit hole from which to write stories that remind us that darkness always awaits us on the other side of our door. To date, he has published two books of short stories, Cuentos extraños / Strange Stories (La biblioteca del laberinto, 2019) and Cuentos de amor y muerte / Stories of Love and Death (Dilatando Mentes, 2024), and the novels El morador / The Dweller, Inanición / Starvation (Dilatando Mentes, 2021 and 2022), and La música del pantano / The Music of the Swamp (Obscura, 2023). His best-known novel, El morador, has reached its tenth print edition, consolidating him as a recognized voice in independent horror.
