Daniel David Jones (better know as Dave)was born and raised in South Jersey where he still resides with his wife Barb,and five children Lisa, Laura, Lynn, Dan,and Dave. My interest in fishing started as a child growing up in an area of South Jersey that has always been famous for its boat building industry,including deep-sea fishing. I have owned and operated my own offshore fishing boat for over thirty years and have fished in numerous tournaments and fishing contests, both locally and nationally. I love to fish offshore where a lot of the fish I catch are bigger than me. As a writer I have successfully sold and published numerous short stories to major magazines. I have won three major writing awards with the latest being the North Wildwood Beach Writers Conference. My career as a carpenter was in jeopardy when an injury I received in the U.S.Navy worsened.As a result I was approved for a program that would help me become a writer. I am a Disabled American Veteran Vietnam era. (I did not serve in Vietnam). I love writing about the ocean and fishing stories all of the awards I've won have been about fishing or sea stories.
