Daniel Blythe was born in Maidstone, Kent, and read Modern Languages at St. John's College, Oxford. He was writing stories and comic strips from a very young age, and was first published in 1993 in Virgin Books' 'New Doctor Who Adventures' range. He has since had over 20 books published for adults, teenagers and children, and has led author days in over 400 primary and secondary schools. He has also taught Creative Writing for the Workers' Educational Association and Sheffield Hallam University.
