I have a passion for reading and writing epic fantasy that started back when my father would read The Hobbit to me as a very young boy. The authors who have most significantly influenced me include Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson, R.A. Salvatore, and Orson Scott Card. I work as a software engineer for a living, and find time for my hobbies of writing, illustration, and cycling as I can. First and foremost, I am dedicated to the happiness and well-being of my wife and son. They are the joy of my life. I graduated from Brigham Young University and have lived in Utah my whole life, except for a two-year religious mission I served in Honduras. I love the variety of spectacular terrain Utah has to offer. Everything from high mountain country to majestic red rock deserts will find its way into my writings and my illustrations.
