Daleth Hall grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, raised by a handicapped single mother who instilled in her a deep love for truth, justice, and the written word. She decided to be a writer somewhere around first grade and plowed through her mom's vast collection of Agatha Christie novels by the age of 10. Later on, after discovering that a creative writing degree didn't pay the bills, she followed her brother to law school and has spent the past 17 years as a trial lawyer. Early in her career, she worked high-stakes criminal cases—from murder to federal corruption—but a colleague's close call, when an ex-client escaped from prison and tried to hunt him down, convinced her that civil litigation was a wiser choice. Daleth has kept one foot in criminal justice, serving as a bilingual certified court interpreter and working pro bono to overturn wrongful convictions. In addition to her legal career, she writes gripping legal thrillers, plays, and short stories.
