Denise Pimentel is an educator, stroke survivor, and mental health advocate whose life reflects the power of faith to turn trials into testimony. After navigating bipolar disorder and surviving a life-altering stroke, she felt called to share her journey of resilience, hope, and God’s sustaining grace. Her debut memoir, Unshaken: A True Story of a Bleeding Mind, Broken Body, and Buried Grief, explores the intersection of faith, mental illness, medical trauma, and recovery. Since its release, the book has received written recognition from her local Mayor, Chief of Police, and Angel Production Company (formerly Angel Studios), and has been featured in The Bridgewater Patch and The Breeze newspaper. She also hosted a mental health advocacy event at the Marriott in Bridgewater, New Jersey, shortly after publication. Denise is the host of a faith-based podcast Unshaken Voices on Podbean, available on Apple Podcasts, where she continues conversations about mental health, stroke recovery, caregiving, and spiritual resilience. She speaks at churches, universities, and advocacy events, encouraging others to pursue healing through faith, community, and professional care.
