Cynthia Waine Brandt is author of Song of the Cardinal, a memoir, that recounts an inspiring story of eternal connection and personal transformation following the death of her beloved husband. It is the first in a series of books exploring how grief can be a portal to exponential transformation in every area of life, at any age. Cynthia was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. On her 40th birthday, she married the love of her life, Harry, and they embarked on a magic carpet ride that took them to Atlanta, the US Virgin Islands and eventually to the great state of Alaska. During her career as a CPA specializing in healthcare financial management, Cynthia was known for her unique ability to provide big-picture perspective, as well as roll-up-your-sleeves operational expertise, a rare and much-needed combination for her remote Alaskan hospital clients. Now as an author, speaker, and advisor, Cynthia’s mission is to “bring a smile to the world” by teaching and inspiring individuals through her writing, photography and music. She is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and a Certified Trainer in the Jack Canfield Success Principles and the Canfield Methodology. Cynthia’s creative spirit, business acumen, and personal growth knowledge and experience make her a sensitive and effective leader who inspires others to look beyond their current circumstances as she guides them to grow and transform through life’s major disruptions, heartbreak, and loss. She continues to live in the awe-inspiring beauty of Alaska while enjoying the southern serenity of Savannah on a part-time basis. Cynthia loves to travel (especially to Italy), laughing with friends, great conversation, coffee, champagne and creative pursuits of music, photography and writing.
