Born in the Netherlands, Constantia Oomen has lived in Davis, California, since October 4, 2011, and became a U.S. citizen in March 2017. She holds a degree in secondary school teaching (Dutch/German) from Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (1990) and a Master’s in German Language and Literature from Utrecht University (1993, with honors). Her interests include travel, languages, vegan food, birds, and cycling. While fascinated by the paranormal, she believes everything can be explained by physical and universal laws, though she still finds magic in life. Constantia has published four books in the Netherlands about her own out-of-body experiences, which sparked her interest in these topics. Her interaction with skeptics has helped refine her critical outlook, leading her to prefer the world of skepticism over pseudo-science.
