Colin O’Brady is one of the world’s most recognized endurance athletes and explorers, and he's set 10 world records. He’s a New York Times bestselling author, sought-after public speaker, entrepreneur and Yale University graduate. In January of 2008, O'Brady suffered a severe burn injury while traveling in rural Thailand. Traumatically, doctors warned he would never walk normally again. Supported by his mother, he went on to make a full recovery, and just a year and a half after his accident, won the Chicago triathlon. A seemingly impossible goal, he turned into reality. Over the last decade Colin has continued to pursue a life of adventure and sought to unlock human potential. He’s set records for the Explorers Grand Slam, Seven Summits and 50 High Points Challenge. In 2018 Colin became the first person in history to cross the continent of Antarctica - solo, unsupported and completely human-powered. Guinness World Records called O’Brady’s 2019 ocean project — the world’s first completely human-powered ocean row across Drake Passage from South America to Antarctica — “...one of the most significant human-powered adventures ever undertaken...” Colin is an Executive Producer of The Impossible Row, a feature length documentary from the Discovery Channel, and he hosts a television series called Survivalists. And yet, Colin isn’t just an adventurer. His debut novel The Impossible First, a memoir recounting his 54-day, 930-mile journey across Antarctica, is a New York Times bestseller. His second book The 12-Hour Walk published August 2nd 2022 and is written to empower you to live your best life. Colin is considered to be one of the foremost experts on mindset. His TED talk, “Change Your Mindset and Achieve Anything,” has been viewed nearly 3 million times. His non-profit work — to inspire kids and community to live active, healthy lives and achieve their biggest dreams — has widespread impact. Colin’s entrepreneurial ventures have resulted in co-founding a live events company, 29029 Everesting, which was acquired by iFit. Colin endeavors to uncover what’s possible and unlock human potential, journeying to some of the most extreme places on earth.
