I love the more mind expanding fiction. Anything that can help you question your beliefs and assumptions is a good place to start. I believe that limiting yourself to a single belief system and a selective group of prejudices only limits you as a human being. Yes believe in something if it offers you comfort but don't be afraid of getting out of that comfort zone as often as possible. The human mind is a masterful piece of work. Don't let fear, propaganda and peer pressure restrain yours. This is all I try to do in my novels. I try to take epiphany moments and wrap them up in entertaining plots.
