CLARISSA JACOBSON is a screenwriter, voiceover artist, actress, producer, and author originally from Minnesota—land of sky-blue waters, tater tots, and the best State Fair in the world. A graduate of Indiana University and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, Clarissa began her career as a performer before discovering her true passion: screenwriting. She later joined Twin Bridges Writing Salon, the longest-running screenwriting workshop in Los Angeles.

She is best known as the writer, producer, and creator of the multi-award-winning comedy-horror short Lunch Ladies, based on her feature screenplay. The film screened at more than 120 film festivals, won 44 awards, and secured worldwide distribution.

That experience inspired her book, I Made A Short Film, Now WTF Do I Do With It (a guide to film festivals, promotion, and surviving the ride). The book is now in its Second Edition. The first edition was translated into Indonesian by Yayasan Kino Media (Minikino Film Week), is available as an audiobook, and a Spanish translation is coming soon.

Clarissa also creates scripted projects with Shayna Weber under their Rebel Minx banner and works professionally as a commercial, animation, and video game voice actor. She currently resides in Los Angeles with all the other beautiful weirdos.
