Claire A Murray writes mystery/crime, fantasy, and science fiction. With more than a dozen published short stories, she wonders why she didn't begin writing them sooner. "I had about 20 unpublished shorts in different stages of completion and realized I truly enjoy the challenge of the short story format." In 2023, Claire released a collection of new and previously published stories in, Play the Hand You're Dealt: A Crime/Mystery Short Story Collection. She has a suspense fantasy and trilogy in progress, both set on Earth-like planets in middle age societal structures, and is completing the sequel to an unreleased amateur sleuth novel. Claire is a member of Sisters in Crime (SinC) and several chapters, Mystery Writers of America, and the Short Mystery Fiction Society. In 2020 she moved from New England to Arizona where she writes full time and paints for inspiration and distraction.
