Thank you for checking out my books! Much of my writing centers on the human-animal bond and New England wildlife. The Paulie the Piping Plover series was inspired by my childhood on the beaches of Martha's Vineyard and memories of nesting plovers on Norton Point and other areas of the island. Since 2022, I've served as a judge for the annual Dog Writers Association of America competition. My most recent flash fiction has recently appeared in Akitsu Quarterly, Otherwise Engaged: Literature and Arts Journal, and Ruff Drafts. Professionally, I have a background in school social work and special education. More recently, I earned a certificate as a veterinary assistant, and joined the Board of the Wildlife Rehabilitators' Association of Massachusetts. I'm also certified in pet grief and loss support through the Association of Veterinary Pastoral Education. All proceeds from my books are donated to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
