Dr. Loo is an American entrepreneur, investor, consultant, author, speaker, executive coach, and physician advisor. A native Houstonian, he received a full scholarship from the Terry Foundation. He received his MD-PhD from the medical scientist training program through the joint Baylor College of Medicine-Rice University Bioengineering Department. He retired from a career in medicine in 2016, to fully focus on running his portfolio of businesses. He has extensive consulting experience working with hospitals, technology startups, high net-worth clients, and executives over the past twelve years. Through his passion and experience in starting companies and working with teams, he has positioned himself and leveraged that experience into building a successful business brand and career, and publishing and speaking extensively about business, financial freedom, and entrepreneurship to audiences worldwide. He is the author of How I Quit My Lucrative Medical Career and Achieved Financial Freedom (2018), The Physician’s Guide to Achieving Financial Freedom Using Stocks and Options, The Physician's Guide to Getting Started in Consulting (2019), and the Physician's Guide to Becoming a Freelance Writer (2019).
