Christopher F. Minty is an editor at the Center for Digital Editing at the University of Virginia, where he is project director and managing editor of Naval Documents of the American Revolution. A historian of the American Revolution, he is author of Unfriendly to Liberty: Loyalist Networks and the Coming of the American Revolution in New York City (Cornell, 2023). He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Stirling and has held fellowships from the British Library, Harvard University, the Huntington Library, The New York Historical, the New York State Archives, the New York State Library, and the William L. Clements Library at the University of Michigan, among others. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS) and lives in Williamsburg, Va., with his family.
