Christopher Buckner is an author and veteran video game writer whose work spans historical fiction, science fiction, cyberpunk, and military adventure.

He is the author of the *Rome Unbound* series, including *At the Altar of Mars*, as well as *Wolves of Rome*, *Immortal of Rome*, and *Depth of Time: Humanity’s Last Hope Lies in Roman Britannia*. His other fiction includes the cyberpunk *Velvet* series and novels set within the *Cepheus Protocol* universe.

Christopher has spent more than twenty years working in the video game industry as a writer, game designer, and narrative designer. His credits include *Cepheus Protocol*, *Cepheus Protocol: Anthology*, *Dark Storm: VR Missions*, and *Tyrannus: Immortal of Rome*, where he served as lead writer and narrative director.

A lifelong fan of science fiction, fantasy, comic books, history, movies, and video games, Christopher is particularly drawn to stories about people caught in worlds larger and more dangerous than themselves. His interest in ancient Greece and Rome has shaped much of his historical fiction, while his background in game development continues to influence his approach to characters, action, world-building, and storytelling.
