Former beauty queen, teacher, and marathon runner. Currently, a mom, a wife, and aspiring writer. Born in Lubbock, TX, grew up in Arkansas, graduated high school in Kentucky. Currently live in Fort Worth, TX. I have three kids, two step-kids and two dogs. I love reading, writing, and taking long naps with my dogs curled up beside me. My favorite places to vacation are in the woods or mountains. Most people like sun and beaches, but I'd rather be in a screened-in porch with the rain slowly dripping off the trees while I'm curled up in a comfy swing with a good book and my wonderful husband close by. I love reading young adult sci-fi authors like Cassandra Clare or time-travel authors like Diana Gabaldon or Katherine Lowry Logan. I've read all the series of: Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse, Twilight, Divergent, Outlander, The Mortal Instruments, Clockwork, Game of Thrones, The Atlantis Gene, and a ton of Native American stories just to name of few. I'm intrigued by the concept of past lives and all things life-after death. I believe we live forever as spirit energy and that our true home is in the spiritual world. Our lives here on Earth are "just a bad camping trip" (as quoted by Sylvia Browne) and there are those that can make contact with the other side of life. I'm also a big advocate of Environmental Awareness. I must have either been a Native American or a Hippie in a past life, either way, I am a true back to nature kind-of gal.
