Chris Mullen is an award-winning author, award-winning teacher, and graduate of Texas A&M University from Richmond, Texas. Before writing full-time, he was a Kindergarten and PreK Teacher for 23 years telling many Rowdy adventures to his students. After signing with Wise Wolf Books in 2021, Chris has written six books and two short stories (THE HUNT, THE RIVER) in his ROWDY series. He has 5 books and one short story (HARD TO KILL) in the Cass Callahan Contemporary Western Mystery series for Wolfpack Publishing, and will release a new traditional western, THE RECKONING OF MEN, a Robert Vaughan series (book 13) on 7/8/2025. The Cass Callahan novels debuted in early 2024, beginning with DEAD LAND, KILL ORDER, and HUNTING EL DESPIADADO. DARKNESS RISING and TEXAS TERROR were released in spring 2025. ROWDY continues to grow and attract readers of all ages. RESCUE and RETURN were awarded 2024 Will Rogers Medallion SILVER medals. WILD AND MEAN, SHARP AND KEEN is a 2023 Independent Press Distinguished Favorite, and DEAD OR ALIVE was awarded a 2023 Will Rogers Medallion Bronze medal. He also has a Western HORROR story, RIDERS OF THE BLACK, in the TUMBLE BLEED anthology.
