Charlie Campbell is captain of the Authors Cricket Club, having revived the side in 2012 with novelist Nicholas Hogg. The team’s book, The Authors XI: A Season of English Cricket from Hackney to Hambledon, was shortlisted for the Cricket Society MCC Book of the Year Award. He led his team in over a hundred and thirty consecutive games, facing the might of the Rajasthan Royals, the Vatican and the national teams of Iceland and Japan along the way. He is the author of Scapegoat: A History of Blaming Other People and Herding Cats: The Art of Amateur Cricket Captaincy. He lives in London. @CCampbell_Agent and @AuthorsCC
