Cecilia Randall was born in Modena, Italy, and grew up eating “pasta, books and comics”. She graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature and then got a master degree in ICT. For many years she worked as a web designer and illustrator, then her passion for adventure novels and movies - from fantasy to mystery to science fiction - as well as archaeology, history, and role-playing games inspired the creation of Hyperversum, her first historic-fantasy novel, published in 2006. Now she is a full-time writer and lives in Modena, with her husband and son. Her titles include the Hyperversum saga (her most popular narrative universe, translated into four languages), Gens Arcana (set in the Florence of Lorenzo the Magnificent), and the diptych Millenno di Fuoco (set in ucronic Middle-Ages, A.D. 1999).
