I started writing, as the 8th of 12 children, to make sense of the world. Writing has been the doorway to recreating my life from one of deprivation and despair to one of rich adventure, success, and dreams come true. I put myself through college (the only one of 12 to do so) and went on to become a teacher, life coach, business owner (multiple successful ventures), inspirational speaker, mentor, sage, and shamanic practitioner. I have lived on 4 continents (North America, Africa, Australia, and Europe) and currently split my days between North America and Europe. I write poetry to nourish my soul, fiction to amuse (Silent Sky 2013, published under my married name: Cate Mighell), and spiritual wisdom to help transform lives and change the world (SOUL PRIMER, THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF HAPPINESS-2020, SOUL PRIMER FOR KIDS-2024, and SOUL PRIMER II, BECOMING A SPIRITUAL WARRIOR, coming soon). Other fun facts: I have 3 amazing sons and 2 beautiful grandsons I started an all-girl ukulele band (The Fabulous G-Strings) I am an ordained (non-religious) minister I am an Instrument-rated Commercial Pilot I have incredible reflexes from a spider bite in Belize I am a meditation teacher I speak 4 languages, but only one of them well I believe we get to live all the lives, love all the loves, and laugh all the laughs. Life is meant to be big and beautiful and brilliant. And I believe that anything is possible. I’d love to share what I've learned with you.
