Carrie DeJong is a Canadian clinical counsellor, educator, and author with more than 30 years of experience in mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment. Her work explores the connection between the body, emotions, and psychological well-being, with a particular focus on interoception—our ability to notice and understand signals from within the body.

Through her clinical practice, workshops, and writing, Carrie brings research and practical insight together to help people better understand their inner experiences and build a more compassionate relationship with their bodies.

Her book, Listening In, invites readers to become curious about what their bodies are communicating and how this awareness can support emotional well-being and connection.
