I’m not new to writing. I’ve been writing since 2006 and published since 2012. But I am new to the genre of Contemporary Romance. I started out writing children’s book, mostly YA and Middle Grade speculative fiction. I also dabbled in historical fiction based on true stories. For the past eight years I found my happy place writing historical romance. For the Christmas season of 2024, I was invited to join an author collaborative. Together we produced a collection of 30+ Christmas novellas with the common theme of a sprig of mistletoe being the start of a romance. I had so much fun writing my little contemporary novella, that I’ve decided to take the plunge and write more. Already, I’m settling into the fun niche of writing what I like to call “Clean & Cozy Cowboy Romances.” My Star Valley Series is the first of many more to come. We had a summer home in Star Valley Wyoming from 2010-2017 and loved visiting that bucolic mountain valley. Is it any wonder I chose that for the setting of my first series. When I’m not writing, I’m recording my own audiobooks, playing hobby farm girl on my five acres tucked amongst the ranches of southeast Idaho, or playing with my ten grandkids.
