Carol Rhees, a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Virginia Law School, is a retired lawyer, professor and teacher, as well as the founder and director of a small nonprofit that works in Ethiopia. During the pandemic, she finally found time to commit herself to her true love: writing. Her first novel, Joint Venture, was named the Best Contemporary Novel of 2023 by the NYC Big Book Award. She has just completed her second novel.
