Carlos Mack has a passion for teaching sustainability in this increasingly disposable world. He is a 15-year prepper enthusiast that enjoys learning new skills and improving himself incrementally each and every day. His writing goals are to provide his readers with top-notch emergency preparedness tips, best practices in worst-case scenario events, and basic survival resources so your family can thrive when disaster strikes! Mr. Mack believes that skills weigh nothing and cannot be stolen. A more self-sustaining lifestyle is within your grasp if you are willing to put in a little work and study tried and true principles passed down through time. Many of these principles you will discover in his well-researched books. You and your family will be able to handle “disruptions” in life for up to a couple months in the event of another lockdown, food shortage, illness, unemployment, global pandemic, natural disaster, recession, or even EMP or nuclear fallout. As a child, Carlos enjoyed trekking in the woods with his dad and dog, or just exploring their own backyard forest looking for the next adventure as “army guy” with his pellet gun and buck knife. In his teens, he excelled in several varsity team sports and competed at a high level. This consumed most of his youth, but in his spare time he also enjoyed karate, Boy Scouts, and any kind of trivia he could get his hands on! As an adult, Carlos has stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon, snorkeled the Caribbean in St. Lucia, rafted class V rapids on the Lower Gorge river, got married at a zoo, and is dad to two sets of twins. His hobbies include DIY home projects, traveling with his crazy family, fine dining experiences, and reading great books. Carlos currently resides in Michigan with his amazing wife, four kids, and a handful of pets. He spends as much time as possible with the people he loves and encourages others to do the same.
