C.E. Brown lived in France for the first time in 1987-88, and this audio book and print book are based on her experiences there as a wide-eyed, Francophile American who had always dreamed of moving to France. She had a magical time that year, learned a lot, made great friends, but had to return home and continue her life in the U.S. Little did she know that, in 1999, she would move back to France, meet the French man who would become her husband, and spend the next 17 years living and working there, first in Paris, and then in the South of France in Avignon. She returned with her husband to the U.S. in 2015.
