Nature Calls, Cat Answers was originally written as a screenplay that ultimately won awards from The British Animation Film Festival, The Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards, and the Tokyo Cinema Awards, among others. It has now adapted into a 48,500-word book for readers age 10 and above. As a voice director for animation and live action features & series (under my birth name), I've directed shows for Amazon, Netflix, DreamWorks Animation, and Warner Brothers/HBO, among others. But my first love, the thing that brings me the most joy, is writing stories for animation. Anthropomorphic characters in animation, when told with subtlely and depth, provide the reader with a breadth of awareness that can transform the human experience. And unlike most other genres, the layered and nuanced importance of animation can be a positive influence on kids and adults alike. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of actors, but when it came to choosing one to voice the dozen-plus characters, there was only one choice: Vancouver, Canada-based actor, Callyn Dorval. She is simply brilliant throughout the five-hour and thirty-two minute audiobook. Callyn is highly intuitive and super smart when determining the "temperature" of every scene's setting, and the specific demands required for each character. I hope you'll agree. P.S.
