For over twenty-five years, I've worked in dubbing and international localization. I have either voice-directed or supervised the localization for animation and live action features and series (under my birth name) for Amazon, Netflix, DreamWorks Animation, and Warner Brothers, among others. But my first love, the thing that brings me the most joy, is story telling in animation settings. I learned early on the depth of beauty, the layered and nuanced importance of that genre, how it can influence kids and adults alike when told with compassion and reflection. "Nature Calls, Cat Answers" was inspired in part by the very first story I wrote back in elementary school, and then much later, after attending a seminar from author/story consultant, Robert McKee. What transpired out of that meeting was an award-winning screenplay that is now a 48,500-word book for readers age 10 and above. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of actors, but when it came to choosing one to voice the dozen-plus characters, there was only one choice: Vancouver, Canada-based actor, Callyn Dorval. She is simply brilliant throughout the five-hour audiobook. Callyn is highly intuitive and super smart when determining the "temperature" of every scene setting and the specific demands of each character. I hope you'll agree. P.S. OH!
