CS Field's love of reading and writing comes from his mother and father, a long line of Irish storytellers, a legacy deeply woven into his soul. His father, a master of the art, captivated young CS with fantastical tales spun from a rich imagination and a deep connection to folklore. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for crafting narratives that transport readers to extraordinary worlds. CS's background in urban planning, landscape architecture and education, where he helped inspire young minds and imaginations, further honed his storytelling skills. An Eagle Scout, with years of backpacking, camping and campfire story telling under the clear dark desert skies and a million stars in the deserts and mountains of the Southwest US, he also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys teaching this ancient martial art to children, instilling self-confidence and discipline. A proud father to a great son in his own right, a Navy Vet, CS enjoys traveling the world with his loving life partner, Joanie, a retired Nurse Practitioner, finding inspiration in diverse cultures, kind people, and the natural environments while maintaining a home base in Southeast Asia.
