I am Butch S Hardcastle I have been preparing for life after a major doomsday event for the past six years. I believe it isn’t a question of if such an event will occur, but when. I want to be prepared when the time comes so that I am one of the few that will survive. I’m not odd, I simply want to live as long as possible. I write about my experiences and the knowledge I have gained over the years, in the hope that others will also begin to make their own preparations to survive. The greater the number of people who have our mindset, the better for the human race. Although I prepare, I am not fanatical. I live for today and enjoy hiking, skiing, rock climbing and cricket (more on that shortly.) I have a small computer consultancy company that allows me the freedom to move where I wish. I was born in Casper, Wyoming but moved to Manchester, England when I was just four. It was in Manchester that I learned to love rain and cricket. I now spend my time between my two bases, one in Riverton, Wyoming near Grand Teton National Park and one in the beautiful Hope Valley in the Peak District. Both places are excellent locations to prepare for life in the new world. Because of my US / English routes I have a interesting writing style and tend to favour the English spelling of common words, but will often slip in terms like cell phone and mall into writings.
