I write stories about what war leaves behind: the quiet battles no one else sees. As a U.S. Army veteran of the Global War on Terrorism, including three deployments to Afghanistan, I've experienced how moments can linger long after they've passed. My writing explores those unseen struggles, especially through the eyes of those too young to understand them. My debut novel, Glimpses of the Dreamwood, is a story of childhood trauma, resilience, and the fragile worlds we create to survive. It's a reminder that even in the darkest realities, hope doesn't disappear; it adapts. I'm also a husband and father of three, and when I'm not writing, I'm usually outdoors, often fishing or camping, where life slows down just enough to breathe.
