Brian Bogdanoff retired from the Omaha Police Department after twenty-two years of service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated from the Omaha Police Academy. Before his service as a homicide detective, Bogdanoff was an undercover narcotics detective for the City of Omaha. Bogdanoff’s police work has been awarded numerous times by the Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee, a group dedicated to “enhancing the overall effectiveness of the criminal justice system.” He also received an Honorable Mention in 2007 from John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted. Bogdanoff is the author of the award-winning book, Three Bodies Burning: The Anatomy of an Investigation into Murder, Money, and Mexican Marijuana.
