Brett Diffley was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and raised in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. He is a graduate of Finley High School and currently resides in Big Timber, Montana.
Adventure is a driving force for many, but for some, like Diffley, it's a pursuit that shapes their lives and provides invaluable insights for their writing. His diverse experiences and creative spirit make him a compelling storyteller.
Diffley's background is rich and varied. He is a fixed-wing and commercial helicopter pilot and flight instructor. His experiences also include working as a commercial diver, a professional retriever dog trainer, and a self-employed entrepreneur (with patents for his own line of water toys and a wakeboarding trainer-board). Additionally, he has worked as a commercial crab fisherman in Alaska and as a commercial fisherman in several other regions.
He is the author of the Pinnacle Award-winning Davenport Series, which comprises nine books: Perfect Plan, Perfect Plan II, Black Tide, Black Dawn, Safe Passage, Storm Warning, Treacherous Paths, Chance, and The Terror Effect.
