Drugs, violence, murder. Brent Pilkey has seen it all, up close and personal, in his time as a Toronto Police Officer. He spent the first fifteen years of his career in the notorious downtown 51 Division and has used his experiences to write the incredibly realistic police novels Lethal Rage, Savage Rage, Secret Rage, and the latest in the series, Blood Rage. When Lethal Rage was due to hit the bookshelves in 2010, Brent was nearly forced to choose between his police career and his dream of being a published author. Perhaps the book was too realistic for comfort as the Toronto Police Service ordered him not to publish the book. But Brent stood his ground and weathered the storm, and saw his dream come true. Even though he has transferred to 32 Division in the north central area of Toronto, he is still a 51 cop at heart. Branching out from crime fiction, Brent is trying his hand at short stories. Horror stories, to be precise, and hopes to have enough stories to publish his own anthology soon. Check out his first horror short, Mr Armstrong's Brother, in Morpheus Tales #20.
