As a thirty-year veteran of the fire service, Brent saw a need for a series of books to help new firefighters assimilate into the difficult world of the fire service. Forthcoming books are also in the works for senior firefighters, engineer/driver/A.O.'s, and company officers. This series of books is meant to help firefighters excel throughout the all the different stages of thier career. Brent has all the various degrees, certifications, and licences that accumulate over those thirty years, such as a degree in emergency medicine, NFPA fire officer certifications, hazmat technician, all the various rescue technician certs, paramedic license, peer counseling, as well as being a crew and engine boss in the wildland arena. He lives in the beautiful Pacific northwest with his wife and kids. Brent enjoys overlanding and exploring Oregon, blacksmithing, PC games, and writing.
