Bob Thompson left the Air Force shortly after Desert Storm and bought his first sailboat in 1992. He has crossed the gulf three times, been through numerous hurricanes, and has been a full time live-aboard in the Perdido Bay, Pensacola Beach and Ft. Walton Beach areas. After years of causing trouble on the water, he returned to full time active duty until he could retire in 2014. "Daiquiritaville" is his seventh novel.  His others include: "The Man from Nova Scotia," "Rain Check for Zarqawi," "What's the Blue One?" "Indiana Boys," "The Blue Zoo" and "Airspeed is Life." He and his wife Pam live in Florida and continue to make boating mistakes on the waters throughout the gulf coast.
