Bob D’Eith Biography Bob D’Eith has been involved in the entertainment industry for thirty years in various capacities: author (“A Career in Music: 10 Steps to Success” (textbook) and “The Displaced” (sci-fi novel)), entertainment lawyer (Coal Harbour Law), two time JUNO Award nominated recording artist (Rymes with Orange and Mythos), studio owner, label and music and book publisher (Adagio Music Inc. dba Adagio Media). Bob was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (MLA for Maple Ridge – Mission 2017-2024) and was the Parliamentary Secretary for Arts and Film. Bob was the Chair of the Select Standing Committee for Finance and Government Services (2017-2020). Bob sat on Treasury Board and Legislative Review Committee (Cabinet Committees). Bob was also the Chair of the Government Caucus. For fourteen years (2001-2015), Bob was the CEO and executive director of the Music BC Industry Association, a non-profit society dedicated to the development of music and the music industry in BC. Music BC administered the award winning Peak Performance Project and is also the FACTOR affiliated office for BC. Bob has served on the boards of CIMA (Canadian Independent Music Association) and CCMIA (Canadian Council of Music Industry Associations). Bob was the Past-President and founding director of the Western Canadian Music Alliance (BreakOut West and WCMAs). He has also served on FACTOR’s National Advisory Board (past-chair). Bob was the executive chair of the Host Committee for the Vancouver 2009 JUNO Awards. Bob sat on the ACT Arts Center BOD and presently serves on the Pitt Meadows Maple Ridge Community Services, Cythera House and PMMR Housing Society boards. Bob was born in Hong Kong to British parents and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He studied history and law at the University of Victoria (1982-1989). He lives in Maple Ridge, British Columbia with his wife Kim. Bob has five children Sheldon, Violet, Amy, Cameron and Aryn.
