Benjamin Burkhardt has served in Christian gospel ministry since his conversion to Jesus in 2003, where he grew up near the mountains of Northern California. Since giving his life to Jesus, he has served in gospel missions all around the world, serving as an evangelist, foreign missionary Bible and English teacher in South Korea, and a mission-focused Bible teacher in North America. Ben currently serves as a pastor in Oklahoma, with his lovely wife Shiela, and two girls. He loves gospel work, gardening, and time with his family outdoors. Ben has a Master of Ministry in Church Leadership, undergraduate studies in ministry and mission, and is an avid student of Scripture. He firmly believes that God teaches His praying children. He writes prayerfully and with thorough, careful, prayerful study.

Ben always enjoyed research and creative, informative writing, while going through school. He has been writing gospel content since he gave his life to Jesus in 2003, but mostly for personal study and papers during those years. In 2004-2006 Ben began writing the religion column for his college newspaper, The Campus Chronicle. In following years, he just wrote for personal study, or school papers (2006-2009). But he also started writing more sermons and Bible studies during this time. From 2009-2013 Ben wrote many Bible study series, especially lesson guides for multiple teaching series through the New Testament. From 2013-2017 He continued doing research and writing additional Bible study series to teach in missional Bible study classes shared with various communities. He has written many things since for His Master of Ministry courses, and in pastoral ministry. Ben not only wrote printed lesson series, but many articles for online gospel blogs or websites over the years (whether his own or for others).

Around 2025, Ben began to feel the urge or burden from Christ to publish his content in a more formal manner. He began to develop book content for publishing. He published his first book in the Spring of 2026, "Unity in Christ: A Roadmap to Biblical Christian Unity." His second, "Treasures of the Sanctuary," is a 30-lesson series covering how the Hebrew sanctuary points to the ministry of Messiah and all core teachings of Scripture. This was published in the Fall of 2026, based on a fully updated and now illustrated version of his Sanctuary series written and taught originally while in South Korea.

You need to stay tuned for more books, because Ben has many on the burner, waiting to be finished up, and many of his Bible series from over the years are just waiting to be revamped and published as well.
