Growing up in a small town, in the middle of England, with not a lot really happening, was the perfect place for an imagination to flourish. Indeed, having gone to the same secondary school as noted filmmakers Ken Loach and Gareth Edwards, it almost seemed inevitable that Ben Bruce would end up telling stories sooner, rather than later. A career working behind the scenes in TV opened a number of doors as he sought out a career as a screenwriter, but when one script was rejected, he was unable to let it go, and thus The Regulators went from the screen to the page. Currently working on the third book in The Regulators series, Ben has a number of exciting projects coming in other areas of fiction. When not working, he has a young family and a season ticket to Nuneaton Borough. He'd also like to sleep, but he's not holding out much hope.
