Born on the West Coast of Scotland, Becca still resides in the region with her husband and two children. After graduating from university with a degree in English Literature and later gaining her Master's in Education, Becca has worked as a primary teacher for over two decades. Devoting her time outside the classroom to writing romance, Scottish fantasy, historical fiction, and fantasy novellas. She published her first book in March 2024, giving her readers a sense of escapism. Let’s hear from Becca herself: “How I wish I could find all those ‘books’ I had penned as a kid! I had some excellent story ideas that could be developed now. I had my first book ‘published’ when I was 12. I was part of a children’s writing group at a local library, and I remember well the day our writing was ‘published’, and our words were made into a volume of short stories. The book was put on display in the library for visitors to read. We even made it into the local newspaper! Since then, I have written books that have never progressed beyond the editing phase. Ideas that are hidden away on an old laptop somewhere. I really should look those out and see if there is anything worth salvaging. However, I now feel I have reached a different point in my writing journey. I abandoned writing for a while. My career became my primary focus and consumed a significant portion of my time. Then I got married and had children, and the usual home life responsibilities took over, becoming my priority. It became about working to provide for my family and ensuring my children had everything they needed. It was only in the last few years that I began to delve back into writing. My career was well established, and I was settled in my job. Although still young, my kids had their own interests and hobbies, and I felt the pull of yet again putting ideas on paper. The pandemic was when I found the time to begin writing again. Since then, I have written a few novels and below is an overview of my growing collection of titles so far.” Romantasy: Cherry Blossom: The Depths, the reader discovers a hidden secret that will surely draw them in. Through the protagonist, we are introduced to a world that Deana thought she knew, opening her mind and heart to the unseen, ethereal beauty that has always been around her but hidden from view. Havard, the dark and mysterious antagonist, drives the series, leaving the reader questioning whether he is indeed a villain or a hero in disguise. With further books in the series now available for download and purchase, the story continues and will surely provide more plot twists and excitement as it unfolds in Cherry Blossom: The Cabin and the latest instalment, Cherry Blossom: The Loch. These will soon be available in audiobook, too. Children’s Books: Beginning a journey of writing children's books, my first story, Daring Donkey, was released in September 2024. It marks a journey of discovery for the charming main character, Daring, who enjoys embarking on his own adventures of exploration. The Curious Tales of Grim: A Witch’s Cat was also released in spring 2025.Hoping to engage younger readers in the hilarious but well-meaning adventures of Grim, the curious cat who always finds himself in trouble. Historical Fiction: In November 2024, a brand-new book in the fantasy/supernatural category, The Last Coven, was released as part of The Triquetra series.
