Arthur Hoyle is a writer, educator, and independent filmmaker living in Santa Barbara, California. He has published a biography of Henry Miller, "The Unknown Henry Miller: A Seeker in Big Sur" (Skyhorse, 2014), and "Mavericks, Mystics, and Misfits: Americans Against the Grain" (Sunbury Press, March 2020). He has also published numerous essays on social and cultural topics in zines such as HuffPost, Counterpunch, and Across the Margin. He is a regular reviewer for the New York Journal of Books.
