Art is a long-time journalist who has written for national newspapers and magazines. He has been a magazine editor and newsletter publisher. The Drago Mystery Series began in 2010 and has been publishing two books per year. The influence for the series comes from a variety of sources including Agatha Christie, Father Brown Mysteries, Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer and a host of "buddy books." An avid Harley owner and rider, it's not surprising that the two main characters in the Drago books are also fond of that motorcycle brand. Living in a small town, Art uses local characters and businesses extensively, but his background in economics gets interjected occasionally. Art is married to Stephanie and has five adult children, one of whom writes sci-fi/fantasy novels.
